I love to share my testimony with others. Let me just give you an idea of what the Lord has done in my life. The Lord in all His grace and mercy has delivered me from living more than 2 years on the streets. He also has delivered me from 17 years of drug abuse and 15 years of alcoholism. Here is some of the things that were personal.

I come from a broken home because my dad decided that he was gay. My mom wasn't able to take care of me and my 2 brothers and 1 sister because she was weak emotionally. My mom has been in and out of mental hospitals and board and care homes since she found out about my dad. My parents finally got a divorce and my dad got custody of us children. I was 7 years old at the time. Well life with my dad was unusual because I had to try to cover up for my dad's life.

I was afraid my friends would find out because I was ashamed of his lifestyle. After a couple of years, my dad's friend and lover started to molest me. This went on for a few more years. I didn't know how to tell my dad so I didn't say anything. I grew to despise my dad's friends and I couldn't trust any of them. I started experimenting with drugs. First Marijuana then I started more harder drugs. I stole from my dad and his friends to support my habit. Finally my dad got tired of my stealing and kicked me out of my house.

I was 17 years old by this time. I moved to San Francisco with some friends. My drug abuse continued and I was kicked out of where I was living again. I ended up living on the streets. I didn't realize at the time but God had His hand upon me. He provided for me when I didn't even know where my next meal would come from.

Finally after more than 2 years on the streets I gave in and asked God to take me away from the situation I was in. Two weeks later I found myself back home in Fresno.

Even though I was back home I still got deeper involved in drugs and alcohol. After many years of drug and alcohol abuse, one day I woke up and had no desire to drink anymore. The beer tasted nasty and the smell of it made me sick. By this time I was married. The Lord has blessed me with a beautiful, loving and caring wife.

I was selfish and paid more attention to my friends than I paid to her. It's only by the grace of God that she stayed with me. Due to my drug abuse and not being able to hold down a steady job, my wife and I lost our home. Even though I stopped drinking, I was still smoking marijuana and doing other drugs. I didn't realize that when the Lord healed me from alcoholism, He also healed me from the drug abuse. "For whom the Son sets free is free indeed." Finally I surrendered myself to to the Lord.

Of course this is an on going process. Well in short my life has been restored. The Lord has graced me with His mercy. I have been completely sober for 6 years. My wife and I have a new home that is three times better than the one we lost. He continues to bless me daily. I am on fire for Him. And I want everyone to know about Him and what He can and will do for them.
